Basic editing operations include standard text editing operations such as Cut, Copy, and Paste, selection operations, indenting, spell checking and syntax checking.
The Undo operation undos the last piece of editing done to
the current document. It will undo typing, cutting or pasting, and drag and drop operations.
Multiple levels of undo are supported in Spider Writer.
The Redo operation redos the last editing operation undone
to the current document by Spider Writer.
Multiple levels of redo are supported in Spider Writer.
The Cut operation removes the selected text from your
document and sends it to the Clipboard.
The Copy operation copies the selected text from your
current document to the Clipboard.
The Paste operation pastes text from the Clipboard into the
current document. If any text is selected, it is replaced.
The Delete operation removes the selected text in the
current document.
The Select Current Tag operation automatically selects the tag you're editing, if any.
The Select Current Tag Block operation automatically selects the tag block surrounding the cursor.
The Select All operation selects all the text in the current document.
The Selected Text to Unordered List operation converts each line in the selection to a list item within an unordered list tag block.
The Selected Text to Ordered List operation converts each line in the selection to a list item within an ordered list tag block.
The Selected Text to Table operation opens up the Table Wizard and selects the Import Data from the Selection in the Current Document option in the wizard.
The Indent operation indents each line
of text in the selection
by one tab space.
The Unindent operation unindents each
line of text in the selection
by one tab space.
The Edit HTML Tag operation edits the current HTML tag using a
tag dialog.
The Spell Check operation checks the current
document for spelling errors.
The LiveSpell command toggles the LiveSpell editor feature on and off.
This feature dynamically underlines misspelled words in the
Document Source editor
as you type.
The Thesaurus command looks up the current word in the Microsoft Word thesaurus. This feature requires Microsoft Word to be installed on your computer.
The Syntax Checker operation searches for errors in HTML syntax
in the current document.
The Validate XML command validates the current document for valid and correct XML syntax.
